Wiplash is built on a "don't be evil" principle: we collect the minimum amount of data needed to make the app work, and we don't sell any of it to anyone.

Today we collect:

• Your email address (for sign-in and account recovery).
• Your handle, display name, birthday, and chosen interests (set during onboarding).
• Anything you publish — projects, posts, comments, reactions, follows.
• Standard server logs (timestamps, IPs, user agents) for security and debugging.

Your birthday is used for age-gating mature content. It's never shown publicly.
